Recorded here in Bloomington, IN at Flying Overhead Studio, Ziona's debut album is a solid performance from a gifted and unique voice. Every track is enjoyable on this album with some moments reaching even to the sublime. Mike McGinnis' production drives the acoustic-based album from simple melodies with sparse accompaniment to soaring cries of longing over full band arrangements. From Indie and Folk to Country, Ziona's All I Could Do is a delightful debut from an artist that I'm sure we'll be hearing more about.

Drums - Ben Fowler

Ben Fowler
Benjamin Fowler has been playing drums for 13 years, more than half his life. He has been teaching for 7 years, mostly in and around Bloomington,
Indiana. He is a 2008 Graduate of the IU Jacobs School of Music with a Bachelors' Degree in Jazz Studies. At IU he studied with world famous
jazz percussionist/session master Steve Houghton. While there he developed his technique, broadened his skills and developed a more global understanding of music.

You may have heard Ben playing this past year with his latest
musical project, The Jefferson Street Parade Band. They appeared in
Bloomington's Independance Day Parade and marched again during this
fall's Lotus World Music and Arts Festival. He can be seen playing
high-energy original rock with local favorites The Delicious (Joyful
Noise Records). You may have heard him swinging with The Ben Fowler
Four at your friend's wedding reception. Or maybe you caught him
playing his newly invented percussion rig live with DM Stith
(Asthmatic Kitty Records), locally or in Europe! In recent years Ben
Fowler has also appeared with bands such as Kentucky Nightmare
(Standard Records), Dr. Djo Bi & Asafo, The Names, The Vegetables,
Bitesized Buddha, and Cardboard.

Mr. Fowler is now accepting students for private lessons. He teaches
in his own studio/rehearsal space, or if you prefer, he is happy to
come to your home. He offers competitive monthly rates for hour or
half-hour lessons. He expects his students to put in practice time
weekly. He has worked with 4-year-olds and 65-year-olds, and is happy
to tailor his lessons to fit his students' goals and interests.

Ziona Riley to record with Rewind Records

A talented Bloomington local, Ziona has been writing her own songs for years. With a soulful, passionate voice and beautiful songs, she is sure to make an impact with her music. Rewind Records will be recording her debut album with Mike McGuiness as Producer and the album is scheduled for release Sunday, October 16th. There will be a CD Release show that night at The SwitchYard.
